Recently the dh and I went to see two movies we're still discussing almost every day.
The movies?
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy.
Eye-opening -- both films.
I read John Le Carré’s Tinker, Tailor, Solider, Spy as a teenager. It was, I think, his best book, but then again, I loved every book that the man ever wrote.
Unfortunately, I haven’t read Stieg Larsson’s books, something I plan to remedy as soon as time allows. But, if the film was true to the novel, and I’ve been led to believe it was, I know I’ll love his work.
Both movies were phenomenal, both thought-provoking, both made you think about the world we live in. I wish I could summarize either novel, but there’s no way. And I’m convinced that each book is something different to every reader. But, I can guarantee that reading either of these author’s works will make your life just that much richer.
That’s the reason I write. In the hope of making someone’s day a tad richer.
Cheers,
Jianne
