I don’t know how many of you have followed the cases of the two women sentenced to death by the Iranian courts, but they need your help NOW. According to unconfirmed reports, the courts will render their sentence any day now.
Sakineh Mohammedi Ashtiani confessed to adultery after suffering 99 lashes and was sentenced to be stoned to death in 2006.
Zeynab Jalalian was convicted of “enmity against God” in 2009. During her trial, which lasted mere minutes, she had no access to a lawyer.
A massive Amnesty International campaign was successful in the Iranian courts deciding against stoning Sakineh, but she could still be hanged.
Zeynab’s execution could occur at any moment.
