The World Cup is over and Holland lost, but they deserved to. In a boooring game where 14 yellow cards were issued, most to the house of orange, Spain won their first ever World Cup. Congratulations España! Well Done.
For me, this World Cup has been the most exciting soccer tournament I’ve ever witnessed. I’m not sure why, but I think the principal reason was the location.
What a way to show case the unique, powerful, majesty that is South African. The vibrant multi-cultural population, the music, the colors, the mountains, and the sea, I can’t wait to visit the country.
Trinidad, the country where I grew up, made it to the last World Cup, which was held in Germany. An amazing feat for a 60x40 country and my oldest son happened to be there for the occasion. I would have loved to be there as well, but only to support Trinidad. Strangely, I’ve no desire to visit Germany.
I’m a little deflated, but it was a great championship.
I hope the Spaniards party long and hard!
