Our first hurricane of the season, Alex, is approaching the coasts of Texas and Mexico. Living in South Florida means we all take any storm seriously, especially after having experienced Hurricane Wilma’s eye five years ago.
What concerns me about this hurricane season is, of course, the oil spill. I can only pray that whatever effects the rain and waves have will be beneficial for our suffering seas. Not only will all clean up efforts come to a stop, but work on the oil rig will halt for at least the next couple of days.
Let’s keep our toes and fingers crossed,
Cheers,
Jianne
P.S. Apologies for the absence of the blog the last few days, I was felled by the flu.
